Automatic collection combines two Pokémon roles: Litter produces materials near a resident's home, while Gather carries loose items into a Community Box. The box is a collection destination, not a conveyor that transfers everything to your other storage or completes every processing recipe.

        ## Build a small collection area

            - Choose the material you need and a resident that drops it. For example, Mareep produces Fluff and Glimmet produces Iron ore. Add a gatherer such as Dreepy or Duskull.

            - Create nearby homes or habitats and move the workers in. Place a Community Box within easy reach, keeping paths clear and room for the dropped items.

            - Leave the area and do another task, then return to check the box. Resource-dropping residents do not reliably produce while Ditto is watching them. Empty the box regularly.

        ## Shorten the next processing steps

Put the relevant specialists and equipment near the collection area: a recycler for waste, a cutter for Small logs or a smelting furnace for ore. Move collected inputs to the right station and initiate processing as required. A nearby workflow saves walking without turning every service dialogue into automatic production.

        ## Find the bottleneck before adding more workers

If the box stays empty, check the producers, gatherer, home assignments and access. If it fills, improve storage and collection frequency first. Moving materials onward to another warehouse remains a manual step. Test one material successfully before expanding into several supply chains.
