Bulbasaur is back in front of the Pokémon Center with its Jump Rope Contest, and this second run of the event is **not** a copy of the April one. The reward table is one row longer, the first prize is almost given away, and the trophy now asks for one more jump than it used to. This guide covers the whole table, the unlock conditions, how the rope behaves at high scores, and who collects the prize in multiplayer.

        ## Event dates

The contest runs from **September 20, 2026 at 05:00** to **September 28, 2026 at 04:59**, local time. That is eight full days, and the minigame can be replayed as many times as you want inside that window, so there is no reason to burn your best attempt on day one.

        ## What changed since the April contest

The April 2026 run had eight reward tiers. September has nine, and every threshold that survived has been pushed up by exactly one jump. The practical consequence: **a 50-jump run does not earn the trophy this time.**

**Tip:** if you stopped at exactly 50 in April because that was the trophy line, repeating that record now leaves you one jump short. Treat 51 as the real target and aim for 55 or so to give yourself a margin.

        ## Requirements before you can jump

            - Complete the Important Request **Yawn Up A Storm** in **Withered Wastelands**. This is the Slowpoke and Kyogre request that brings rain back to the area, and the jump rope activity does not exist until it is done.

            - Rebuild at least one **Pokémon Center** and befriend **Bulbasaur**. Bulbasaur is the one holding the rope, so it has to be living in your world.

            - Be in a neighbourhood other than **Bubbly Basin**. The contest does not start inside the expansion area, so if you have been diving you need to travel back before looking for Bulbasaur.

            - Have the Nintendo Switch 2 clock set to the real date and time, and connect to the internet the first time you start the event.

        ## How the contest works

Bulbasaur stands in front of a rebuilt Pokémon Center for the whole event. Talk to it, accept the contest, and it starts turning its vine. There is only one input that matters: jump each time the vine comes around, and keep the streak alive.

            - The rope **speeds up every 10 successful jumps**, so the difficulty comes in steps rather than gradually.

            - Once you pass **50 jumps**, Bulbasaur stops keeping a steady tempo and the pace becomes erratic and inconsistent. The trophy threshold sits precisely inside that zone, which is what makes 51 harder than the number suggests.

            - The run ends the moment the vine hits you. Only your **best streak of the event** counts, so a bad attempt costs you nothing but time.

        ## Full reward table for September 2026

Rewards are cumulative in the sense that a single high run clears every tier below it: a 51-jump record hands you everything from the berries up to the trophy.

                        Score
                        Reward
                        Quantity

                    2+Leppa Berry3

                    6+Honey3

                    11+Star Piece1

                    21+Large Lost Relic3

                    31+Rainbow Feather3

                    41+Silver Feather3

                    51+Jump rope trophy1

                    76+Pokémetal30

                    101+Rare Pokémetal10

Only one of these is exclusive to the contest. Leppa Berries, Honey, Star Pieces, Lost Relics, the two legendary feathers and both grades of Pokémetal all have other sources in the game. The **Jump rope trophy** does not: it is a decorative object engraved with your score and the date of the contest, so the September trophy is a different piece of furniture from the April one even if you already own that.

        ## Claiming your prizes at the Pokémon Center

Prizes are not handed over when a run ends. They are held for you and collected at the **Pokémon Center**, and they have to be claimed **before the event closes**. Anything still waiting when the contest ends on September 28 is lost, so make a point of walking inside after your last serious attempt rather than logging off on a new record.

        ## Multiplayer: who actually gets the prize

The contest supports other players, but the prize does not always go to the person who jumped best. Where you play decides that.

        ### Visiting another player's town

Everybody jumps and the highest score of the session becomes the town's record, but the **event prize goes to the host**. If you spend the afternoon setting records in a friend's world, you are setting them for your friend.

        ### On a Cloud Island

Everyone present can take part, and the reward goes to **whoever actually sets the record**. This is the only multiplayer setting where a guest can walk away with the trophy.

        >
**Tip:** practise wherever you like, but make your trophy attempt in your own world or on a Cloud Island. A 51-jump run in a friend's town gives them the trophy and gives you nothing.

        ## How to get past 51 jumps

            - **Play the rhythm, not the rope.** For the first 40 jumps the tempo is metronomic. Find the beat early and stop watching the vine so closely.

            - **Expect the step-ups.** Jumps 10, 20, 30, 40 and 50 are where the speed changes. Most runs die on the jump right after a speed-up, so brace for those five moments instead of being surprised by them.

            - **Do not mash.** Extra inputs between beats are the main cause of early failures once the rope is fast.

            - **Keep the camera still.** A stable angle makes the vine's arc much easier to read than a camera you are nudging mid-run.

            - **Build up over the eight days.** Because only your best streak counts, there is no penalty for chaining short attempts. Warm up with a few runs, then push.

        ## The everyday Jump Rope outside the contest

Jump Rope is not only an event. Once Bulbasaur is your friend and a Pokémon Center is rebuilt, you can ask it for a normal game at any time, with a much smaller reward table:

                        Score
                        Reward
                        Quantity

                    0-49Copper ore3

                    50-99Honey1

                    100+Small Lost Relic1

The rope behaves identically in both modes, which makes the everyday version the ideal place to train your timing between contests. Only the contest awards the trophy.

        ## FAQ

**Does a 50-jump run get the trophy this time?**

No. In April the trophy was awarded at 50 jumps; in September the threshold is 51.

**I already have the April trophy. Is the new one worth chasing?**

Yes, if you want it as a decoration. The trophy records your score and the date of the contest that produced it, so the September one is a distinct object rather than a duplicate.

**Can I take part from Bubbly Basin?**

No. The contest does not start inside the expansion area. Travel to any other neighbourhood first.

**What happens to rewards I never pick up?**

They are lost. Prizes sit at the Pokémon Center until you claim them, and the event closes on September 28 at 04:59 local time.

        **Is anything here unobtainable elsewhere?**

Only the Jump rope trophy. Every other item in the table drops somewhere else in Pokemon Pokopia de Switch 2, so the trophy is the one reward genuinely worth the eight days.
