# Enter Palette Town's waterfall cave and gather ice

Palette Town contains an ice-filled cave behind a waterfall. It is a useful source for the Freezing Chambers construction and other projects that consume ice. The entrance is easy to miss if you stop at the raised altar and never inspect the water beneath it.

        ## Reach the waterfall from the main island

            - From the town entrance, head toward the beach and the broken bridge route. Cross to the first nearby island using a repaired block path rather than searching only the cave immediately beside the entrance.

            - Find the raised spot holding the Freezing Chambers kit and circle around its right-hand side toward the waterfall. Inspect the opening beneath or behind the falling water.

            - Enter and follow the cave downward to the ice and crystal deposits. Mine what your project needs with Rock Smash and collect the drops before returning.

        ## Prepare space and a clear way out

        Bring empty bag slots or nearby storage, since ice occupies stacks quickly. Keep enough of the entrance and path intact to recognize the exit. You do not need to drain the waterfall or excavate the entire island to reach the deposit.

        ## If you find the wrong cave

        Use the Freezing Chambers site above the waterfall as your reference. A cave near the initial town entrance is not necessarily the ice cave. Return to the island and circle the waterfall's base, checking for the opening behind the water before starting a broad excavation elsewhere.
