# Reach the Rocky Ridges museum and open its hidden passage

The museum is reached through the northern caves of Rocky Ridges. Its entrance is beyond the smelting-furnace area and magma, rather than an ordinary street door. Bring blocks and Rock Smash; Strength is useful for the bookshelf hiding the separate room inside.

        ## Follow the mine route in stages

            - Enter the northern cave and continue past the room where the story's smelting furnace stood. Cross the magma using a block path, cooled surfaces made with Water Gun or Glide if already learned.

            - In the magma section, inspect the brown rock barrier along the route. Open it with Rock Smash to reach the closed-off tunnel and its crystal deposits, then return to the main route toward the museum.

            - Enter the museum and follow the ground-floor red carpet toward the back. Move the large bookshelf away from the wall with Strength to reveal the opening and descend into the hidden room.

        ## Read the record before leaving

        Inspect the record in the concealed room to register the fifth Team Rocket grunt diary entry. It is a separate find from the museum's displays and Gimmighoul. Picking up an unrelated book on an upper floor will not register this hidden-room record.

        ## Keep the two hidden entrances distinct

        The crystal tunnel branches off the mine; the diary room is behind the bookshelf inside the museum. If you only find crystals, continue to the museum rather than assuming the diary failed to appear. If a barrier resists, check your tool or meal boost before digging away a large unrelated wall.
