Returning home is not the only shortcut. A Pokémon with Fly or Teleport can take you directly to the Pokémon you are currently searching for, as long as the target is in the same region.

Set a destination and ask for help
- Open the Pokédex, select the Pokémon you want to visit and activate its search option.
- Find a Pokémon with Fly or Teleport. For example, Hoothoot offers the flying specialty and Abra can teleport.
- Speak to the specialist while the search is active and choose the option to take you to the target.
- After arriving, finish your conversation or task with the target. Change the selected Pokémon before requesting another journey.
Keep a travel helper nearby
Invite a suitable specialist to accompany you while completing errands. This makes it easier to reach residents scattered across the map without repeatedly walking back to the same central area. You still need to identify the target in the Pokédex before requesting the journey.
If the travel option is missing
Check the helper's actual specialty and whether a search is active. These specialties cannot take you between separate regions. Use home travel to reach the correct region first, then choose a local Pokémon as the search target. Do not confuse gliding in the form of Dragonite with asking a Pokémon to use its travel specialty.
