The region where you first meet a Pokémon does not permanently determine where it must live. You can take it elsewhere and assign a new home, provided it is free to travel and the destination has room.

Prepare the new home first
Choose an unoccupied habitat or a house with space for the new resident. Finish construction and make the entrance accessible before bringing the Pokémon. Moving the building itself is a different action and does not replace assigning a home to the resident.
Travel and confirm the move
- Find the Pokémon and ask it to come with you. Complete any request that prevents it from leaving its current region.
- Open the menu's home-travel option and choose the destination region. You need an established home there to use this route.
- Your accompanying Pokémon travels with you. Lead it to the new habitat or house, keeping the path accessible.
- Speak to it beside the destination and choose the dialogue asking whether it wants to move there. Finish that conversation and check the new home assignment.
If the resident refuses or leaves again
Travelling together only brings a visitor: it does not automatically change the Pokémon's home. If the move option is missing, stand closer to the intended destination, check its available space and finish any outstanding request. After a successful move, review comfort again. Different surroundings can change comfort and therefore the region's environment level.
