The Copycat Challenge is the special activity held for April 1. It asks you to recognize which Pokémon another resident is imitating. The reward is an Inflatable Sudowoodo decoration: completing the quiz does not recruit a wild Sudowoodo.
Find a resident offering the quiz
- During the challenge's availability window, check the special challenge on a Pokémon Center PC, then look for residents displaying a speech bubble with an ellipsis.
- Talk to a participating Pokémon and read its imitation. Choose between the two proposed answers by comparing its wording and personality with residents you have already met.
- Keep trying until the challenge records three correct answers. You do not need to give three correct answers in a row, so an incorrect guess is a reason to try another conversation.
Use clues from your own language
A resident's usual expressions and tone help identify the imitation. Pronoun clues from Japanese walkthroughs do not transfer directly to every translation, so focus on the dialogue actually shown in your game. If no suitable bubbles are visible, give residents some time and check others rather than repeatedly talking to the same Pokémon.
Collect the reward manually
After the third correct answer, return to the Center PC, open Challenges and claim the completed challenge's reward. It is not automatically placed in your bag when you answer the last question. If the toy is missing, check the claim status there before looking for another quiz or assuming the challenge failed.
