During Feebas's event, speak to it outside a rebuilt Pokémon Center in a base-game town. If it is missing, check that the event is available, the game is updated and the console can connect to the internet. Cloud Islands and Bubbly Basin are not event starting points.

Search the shore, then check underwater areas
- Travel with Drifloon to a Dream Island and begin with its beaches and sandy shores. You do not need to mine ore for Prism Scales. After the coast, inspect accessible caves and other parts of the island rather than treating the beach as the only place they appear.
- Use Y to inhale nearby scales, checking bends and small stretches of beach before leaving. A loop around the coast makes it easier to spot sections you have missed.
- Bring the scales back to the Center. Their quantity varies between visits, so plan another day's island if you cannot yet afford the habitat furniture.
If you can already use Dive
Search below the surface as well. On the Starmie Doll Dream Island, many scales appear underwater: sweep the seabed, outer edges and submerged caves, not just the small area of dry land. This island requires the Expansion Pass, while the event and ordinary Dream Island beach routes do not. Unlock Dive before choosing a route that depends on underwater access. The number of scales varies; a large reported haul is not a guaranteed daily amount.
Save a few scales for decoration
With Magnet Rise, aim at a scale and hold Y to preserve its outdoor form. This is a separate, placeable version rather than your normal exchange stack, and it cannot be reproduced with the printer. Set aside the decorative examples you want before collecting everything else as shop currency.
Spend the first 30 scales on the habitat
Milotic's arrangement needs a Beach volleyball set, a Swim ring and a Cooler: together they cost 30 Prism Scales. Place the three items close enough for Marine leisure activities to register. Choose the ordinary Swim ring; the Big swim ring is a different item and does not fill that requirement.
Meet Milotic separately
Milotic appears through its habitat; feeding scales to Feebas does not evolve it. After the visitor arrives, talk to it and complete the friendship interaction. If nothing appears, check the recognized habitat and the exact ring used before gathering more scales or replacing all the furniture.
