Reach the anchor-pattern laboratory in Bubbly Basin's trench

Descend through the central shaft and find the furnished room deep below the town.

Reach the anchor-pattern laboratory in Bubbly Basin's trench walkthrough

An underwater laboratory sits near the bottom of Bubbly Basin's deep trench. It contains anchor-patterned furnishings and a wallpaper recipe. Bring Dive, Rock Smash and a reliable light before searching: the entrance is far below the bright streets, so a surface-level sweep will miss it.

Follow the vertical route down

  1. Locate the broad vertical gap beside the central cultivated terraces and fenced plots. Swim down between the large rectangular stone structures rather than following a street-level house entrance.
  2. Keep descending along the wall into the dark section. Look for the stone doorway beside the orange coral and inspect the opening; clear any breakable blocks that obstruct your approach.
  3. Enter the room with metal flooring, computer equipment and anchor-patterned furniture. Open the golden Poké Ball to learn the colorful-anchor wallpaper recipe.

Take furniture for the two patterns

The room contains both colorful and darker anchor designs. Keep patterned furniture or object-mode photos of it if you want to teach the designs to Smearguru. A patterned block is not a substitute for a furniture reference, and the wallpaper recipe does not unlock every solid block version.

Mark the return route before leaving

Place a light outside the doorway and another at a recognizable point higher in the shaft. Check their visibility while swimming upward so you can find the room again. Leave objects you cannot carry for a second trip instead of demolishing the landmarks that identify the entrance.
