How to unlock Gimmighoul's collector exchanges

Show the first Rainbow Feather, use the collector dialogue and reserve feathers needed for legendary bells.

How to unlock Gimmighoul's collector exchanges walkthrough

Gimmighoul's collector service turns certain valuables into unusual furniture or materials. Unlocking the conversation and confirming a real exchange are separate steps, so do not give away a rare object as an ordinary present.

How to unlock Gimmighoul's collector exchanges

Find the collector and unlock the service

  1. Explore the museum reached through the northern mine area in Rocky Ridges, and speak to Gimmighoul.
  2. When you have a Rainbow Feather, show it as requested to unlock the collector service. This introductory demonstration does not require spending the feather.
  3. After unlocking the service, choose the special collector or valuable-items dialogue when you want to trade. Do not substitute the generic option for showing or gifting an item.

Choose valuables and confirm the exchange

The service accepts the relevant feathers and appraised relics. If you are using a relic, have the professor identify it first. Inspect the proposed reward and the item you are about to spend before confirming. Different kinds of valuables can lead to different reward pools; a particular rare material is not guaranteed by every exchange.

Reserve feathers before trading

Keep five Rainbow Feather and five Silver Feather if you still need to craft the bells for the corresponding legendary encounters. Use surplus feathers for collecting instead of spending the last ones and delaying that objective. If a valuable disappeared without a reward, check whether you confirmed a gift conversation rather than the collector exchange.
