How to Get the Ocean Door Recipe in Pokémon Pokopia
The Ocean door is one of the key building pieces required for the Ocean Temple project in Bubbly Basin. Although the temple has demanding requirements, its door recipe is easy to miss and even easier to unlock in Pokémon Pokopia for Switch 2.

Ocean door recipe location
Go to the plot where the Ocean Temple must be built in Bubbly Basin. Before construction can begin, you need to remove the sand and debris covering the site.
- Enter the Ocean Temple construction area.
- Clear the sand and every piece of debris from the plot.
- Pick up the yellow Poké Ball revealed among the sand to learn the Ocean door recipe.
You do not need to complete the temple first or purchase the recipe from a shop: it is already hidden inside the project area.
Materials needed to craft an Ocean door
Each Ocean door costs only:
- 1 Star-spotted rock
Star-spotted rocks are plentiful while exploring Bubbly Basin, so collect them as you clear and prepare the underwater district. If the temple layout needs more than one door, remember that every copy consumes another rock.
Size, use, and customization
This is a massive doorway designed for large structures. It will not fit naturally on a standard house, but it works as the main entrance to the Ocean Temple and other oversized custom builds. The Ocean door can also be painted, allowing it to match the colors of its surroundings.
Unlocking the door is only one part of the Ocean Temple project. You will still need the remaining construction materials, including Shiny pearls, and the separate Seashell fencing recipe has its own unlock cost.
