Pumpkaboo first meets you near a rebuilt Pokémon Center. Its introduction lets you befriend it and open the Halloween exchange. You can also build its habitat, Give me something good to eat, using two event items and any table.

A five-candy recipe
| Item | Pumpkin Candy |
|---|---|
| Any table you already own ×1 | 0 |
Candy bucket ×1 | 2 |
Ghost smoke projector ×1 | 3 |
The event furniture costs 5 Pumpkin Candy: two for Candy bucket and three for Ghost smoke projector. Reuse a table you already have to keep that budget. If you also buy Huge table for one candy, the full setup costs 6.
Build a stand, not three loose objects
- Place a table with room for the candy bucket on top.
- Put Candy bucket on the table.
- Place Ghost smoke projector beside the table.
- Check the habitat notification. If it does not register, bring the smoke projector closer and check the bucket's position.
The habitat screenshot is a useful placement reference: the sweets sit above the tabletop, with the small smoke device on the ground alongside it. A different decorative bucket or a pile of candy does not replace the named event item.
The event visitor and the habitat
You do not have to finish this stand before speaking to Pumpkaboo at the Pokémon Center. Start with that conversation to access the furniture exchange, then build the habitat. Gourgeist uses a different recipe; this stand will not attract it.
What to save for next
The two habitats together cost 11 candies with a reused table, or 12 with the event table. Pumpkaboo likes bright surroundings, nature, flowers and spooky objects, which gives you room to decorate around the stand. The event runs until November 1, 2026 at 04:59 local time; befriended Pokémon stay after it ends.
