Pumpkaboo's Candy Collection is the October 2026 Halloween event in Pokémon Pokopia. Pumpkaboo and Gourgeist can become your friends, and Pumpkin Candy can be traded for midnight-festival-themed furniture. The official announcement has not named the furniture, prices, or exact habitat recipe yet.

October 17, 2026 at 05:00 to November 1, 2026 at 04:59, local time. You can still trigger the event if you meet the requirements on November 1 before it ends.
Requirements to start
- Install update 2.0.1 and check the version on the title screen.
- Finish the town's Important Request and rebuild a Pokémon Center.
- Learn the move that lets you transform into objects from Zorua in Bleak Beach.
- Set the Switch 2 system clock to the real date and time, and connect to the internet when starting the event for the first time.
How to collect candy and meet both Pokémon
- Talk to Pumpkaboo near a rebuilt Pokémon Center and complete its request to become friends.
- Transform into furniture or another object a nearby Pokémon likes. Surprise it when it approaches to receive Pumpkin Candy.
- Exchange the candy at the Pokémon Center for special furniture and other midnight-festival-themed items.
- Use the exchanged items to create Gourgeist’s habitat and befriend Gourgeist. The exact items and arrangement are still unknown.
Where the event works and online play
- The event does not start on Cloud Islands or in Bubbly Basin.
- For online play, use Palette Town. Spectator mode is unavailable for this event.
- Before starting online play in Palette Town, speak to Pumpkaboo and hear the event explanation.
- Pokémon befriended during the event stay in your town after it ends.
What is still unannounced
The official notice confirms the Pumpkin Candy currency and themed exchange items, but does not list individual furniture, candy costs, or the precise Gourgeist habitat recipe. These details will be added once confirmed.
If the event does not appear
Check the version, real system time, internet connection, Important Request, rebuilt Pokémon Center, and Zorua move. If you fulfill the requirements while already in a town, visit a different town or quit to the main menu and return.
