Lost Relics are the treasure-hunting side of Pokémon Pokopia: mysterious objects buried in glowing blocks that only reveal what they are after Professor Tangrowth appraises them. They turn into some of the rarest furniture in the game, such as the Pikachu sofa, the arcade machine or a full spaceship, and several habitats cannot be built without them.

Where to find Lost Relics
- Glowing blocks: every area has shining, breakable blocks. Smash them with Rock Smash and you may find a Lost Relic, a fossil, a CD or one of the slabs of Mew’s mural.
- Unstable blocks: some glowing blocks start shaking as if they were about to explode. Cool them down with water before breaking them.
- Dowsing Machine: carrying it, together with a Pokémon with the Search specialty, points you to buried treasure.
- Sweet offering: giving Mosslax a sweet dish adds 3, 6 or 9 extra ancient artifacts per area for the rest of the day.
- Bubbly Basin: the DLC area hides Sunken Relics underwater, a separate pool of large relics.
How appraisal works
- Collect relics: they appear in your Bag as unidentified Lost Relics (L) or (S).
- Talk to Professor Tangrowth and hand them over. Since update 2.0.0 you can appraise up to 10 at once.
- Each appraisal gives you a random item from that relic’s pool. Once identified, the item is yours to place or keep.
| Type | What you get | Examples |
|---|---|---|
| Lost Relic (L) | Large furniture you can place on its own | Pikachu sofa, Naptime bed, Arcade machine, Gold Teeth, Big Nugget, Spaceship, Fishing rod, Charizard rug, meteor lamps |
| Sunken Relic (L) | Large furniture from Bubbly Basin | Windup Inkay, Gyarados fountain, Primarina statue, Chimecho wind chime, shop signs |
| Lost Relic (S) | Small classic Pokémon items that need a frame to be displayed | Nugget, Heart Scale, Rare Bone, Lucky Egg, Life Orb, bottle caps and type items like Mystic Water or Charcoal |
Relics you need for habitats
- Gold Teeth: Biteable punching bag, a habitat for Feraligatr.
- Windup Inkay: Muddy playtime, for Marshtomp, Barboach and Inkay.
- Arcade machine: Mini Game Corner, for Magneton and Magnezone.
- Four large relics and a bed: Professor’s treasure trove, a habitat for Professor Tangrowth himself.
Duplicate the ones you need
Appraisal is random, so you can get the same relic many times and still miss the one a habitat requires. Once you have photographed a large relic, the 3D Printer can copy it for 5 Rare Pokémetal. You can even photograph a relic in a friend’s town or on a Cloud Island and print it at home.
Tip: save up your relics and appraise them in batches of 10 on a day with a sweet Mosslax buff. You spend the morning breaking glowing blocks and the afternoon opening everything in one go.
