Post-Game Guide: What to Do After the Credits

How to get Magnet Rise from Magnemite, everything it can do, how a full Pokédex opens the Developer Room, and the long-term goals left after the ending.

Post-Game Guide: What to Do After the Credits walkthrough

The credits of Pokémon Pokopia roll once you rebuild the four main-story Pokémon Centers and finish the last Important Request, usually after 20 to 40 hours. That is far from the end: the post-game unlocks Ditto’s most powerful transformation, a secret room for players who complete the Pokédex and plenty of long-term goals. Here is everything worth doing after the ending.

Ditto and Magnemite in Pokémon Pokopia

1. Get Magnet Rise from Magnemite

Right after the story ends, go back to Withered Wastelands and look around the spot where the rocket took off. A Magnemite is hiding there, and befriending it teaches you Magnet Rise, the last and most versatile transformation in the game. It costs PP every time you use it, but it changes how you build:

  • Free flight: float anywhere, at any height, and rotate freely.
  • Place 9 blocks at once in a 3×3 square, horizontally or vertically.
  • Replace mode: swap nine blocks in front of you for another type in one go, for example cliff rock for grass. The old blocks go to your Bag.
  • Break: tap the button next to an object to break it into materials (worn lumber becomes lumber, hedges give seeds). It uses less PP than Rock Smash or Cut.
  • Pick up anything: hold the button to put the whole object in your Bag. This is the only way to collect things like shoots, duckweed, tree stumps, driftwood, large boulders or a fully grown Leppa tree.

2. Complete the Pokédex and open the Developer Room

The main Pokédex has 300 Pokémon, and you receive a recipe every few registrations (storage boxes, furniture, decorations…). Most players reach the credits with roughly 70% of it, so the rest is post-game work: rare habitats, Dream Islands, Legendary Pokémon and Mew.

  1. Registering all 300 gives you the Neo Dowsing Machine recipe.
  2. Craft it, go to Sparkling Skylands with a Pokémon that has the Search specialty and head to the north-western island.
  3. Your partner tells you when there is something under your feet. Dig down to find a scanner like the ones at the gates.
  4. Scan your completed Pokédex to open the Developer Room, a recreation of the one in Celadon City. Inside you get the recipes for a printer, a shutter and a card reader to build your own locked rooms, and the printer prints a Diploma you can display.

Bubbly Basin has its own Pokédex with extra rewards (a big treasure chest, the Fanned-Ditto print and a party ball, among others).

3. Long-term goals

GoalWhat it involves
MewFind every slab of the Mysterious Mural and place them correctly
Lugia and Ho-OhRegister the legendary bird and beast trios to unlock the bells that call them
Environment Level 10Max out every town to unlock the final recipes and remodel kits
Habitat DexBuild every habitat at least once, including event ones
CollectionsFossils, Lost Relics, Human Records (outfits) and CDs for DJ Rotom
Best FriendsMax out friendship to get the Best Friend mark in the Pokédex

4. Build without limits

With Magnet Rise and every recipe unlocked, the post-game is the moment to redesign your towns, decorate Palette Town with friends or start from scratch on a Cloud Island, where every material from every area is available.

Tip: before rebuilding a town from scratch with Magnet Rise, move its residents into houses first. Destroying habitats leaves Pokémon homeless and can drop that town’s Environment Level.
