How to Make a Bubbly Basin Habitat Warmer in Pokemon Pokopia

When a Pokémon in Bubbly Basin says its underwater habitat is too cold, place a Heat Rock inside its living area. The rock raises the temperature around itself, so it solves the request without rebuilding the habitat or changing the conditions across the whole region.

The quickest solution

1. Collect the guaranteed Heat Rock from the cave in Bubbly Basin.
2. Return to the Pokémon whose habitat needs more warmth.
3. Place the Heat Rock inside the habitat boundary, close to the resident.
4. Check the Pokémon's comfort again to confirm the temperature request is complete.

A Heat Rock only affects its immediate surroundings. Leaving it elsewhere in Bubbly Basin will not warm a distant habitat.

Where to find the guaranteed Heat Rock

Start at the gate into Bubbly Basin and continue to the main section where Popplio first guides you. Find the stairs in this opening area, then look to their right for a cave entrance. Black stone hangs above the opening and pieces of scaffolding stand in front, which makes it easier to identify.

1. Enter the cave to the right of the stairs.
2. Follow the passage all the way toward the rear.
3. Open the Poké Ball there to receive one Heat Rock.

This Poké Ball is the reliable fixed source. If it is still unopened in your game, collecting it is faster than relying on a random trade or searching other islands.

How to obtain additional Heat Rocks

• 3D Printer: photograph a Heat Rock in Object Mode and reproduce it at the printer in a rebuilt Pokémon Center. Copies consume valuable materials, including Pokémetal, so make only as many as you need.
• Cloud Islands: some islands contain a Heat Rock that can be collected. This can also provide your first one if you visit a suitable island before opening the cave Poké Ball.
• Gimmighoul and Gholdengo trades: either Pokémon can offer a Heat Rock through its broader reward pool. Because the result is random, this is a bonus method rather than a dependable farming route.

What each environmental rock changes

Heat Rock is one of four rare rocks that alter conditions only within a limited radius. Choose the one that matches the resident's comfort request:

If the habitat still feels cold

Move the Heat Rock closer to the habitat's center and make sure it belongs to the same occupied space. Temperature and humidity are separate comfort values, so a Damp Rock cannot replace a Heat Rock for this request. When several Pokémon need warmth, give each distant habitat its own rock instead of expecting one item to cover the entire settlement.
